Spiced Maple & Bacon Roast Sprouts

 


A delicious variation on your traditional sprout dish this Christmas! This one is a crowd pleaser!

Ingredients: 

  • 500g sprouts
  • 4 rashers of smoked bacon
  • 1.5 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1.5 tbsp Dr. Will's Sriracha Hot Sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Method: 

  1. Preheat your fan oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Peel the loose tough leaves from the outside of the sprouts, trim the ends and cut them in half. Add them to a baking tray.
  3. Slice your bacon into 2cm pieces. Add to the baking tray.
  4. Drizzle the olive oil over the sprouts and bacon, and add the maple syrup and sriracha. Season with salt & pepper, and mix so that everything is well coated.
  5. Put the tray on the middle shelf of the oven and roast for 25 minutes, giving everything a little toss halfway through.
  6. Once the sprouts are cooked and there are little crispy ends forming on a couple of the sprouts and bacon bits, it's ready! Remove from the oven and pour into your favourite serving dish.
