BBQ Glazed Chicken Wings

We're firing up the barbecue in this glorious heatwave and loading it up with these delicious, sticky, glazed BBQ chicken wings.

Ingredients

475g Free Range chicken wings (approx 12)

6 tbsp Dr Will’s BBQ Sauce

2 tbsp Honey

2 tsp cayenne pepper

1 tsp hot smoked paprika

Salt and Pepper

Method:

In a dish, place your wings in a single layer.Combine the Honey, cayenne pepper, paprika and Dr Will’s BBQ Sauce, along with salt and a good grind of fresh black pepper. Cover the chicken wings with the sauce and leave to marinate in the fridge for at least an hour, but preferably overnight.

Place the chicken on the barbecue over medium hot coals and cook for around 20 minutes, brushing the chicken with any excess marinade left in the dish. If you want to check that the meat is cooked, put a skewer into the thickest part of the wing, and if the juices run clear then the chicken is cooked through.

If it's not barbecue weather and you have to cook these in the oven:

Preheat your oven to 180℃ and bake the wings for 30 minutes, then pour off the excess oil. Return the wings to the oven for a further 10-15 minutes, until they’re sticky and golden brown.

Serve on a large platter with more Dr Will’s BBQ Sauce and sticks of celery.
