If you’re looking to liven up your sausages, this marinade is super quick and simple. We’ve gone one step further and used chicken sausages as a tasty low fat alternative to traditional pork.
Sweet from the honey, smokey from Dr Will’s BBQ Sauce and with a powerful kick from wholegrain mustard, these bangers are perfect, easy buffet fare. Stick them on the barbecue or leave them sizzling away in the oven. Either way, they’ll go down a storm.
12 chicken sausages (or any sausage you prefer)
4 tbsp honey
4 tbsp wholegrain mustard
4 tbsp Dr Will’s BBQ Sauce
Salt and pepper, to taste
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (or heat up the barbecue if the sunny weather’s still holding up).
Mix together the honey, mustard and Dr Will’s BBQ Sauce with a grind of salt and pepper to taste.
Put the sausages in a roasting dish and cover with the marinade, giving everything a good toss about.
Cook the sausages in the oven (or place on the barbecue,) for around 20 minutes, until the sausages are sticky and cooked through.
Serve them in warm crusty baguettes, with classic potato salad or a on top of a big pile of grilled veggies.
