Crispy Chicken Goujons

These crispy chicken bites from our Quick 'n' Easy series are coated in a crunchy topping with a surprise ingredient. Serve with plenty of crisp dressed salad and a big dollop of Dr Will’s BBQ Sauce for an easy family supper.

Ingredients:

  • 2 chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 25g breadcrumbs
  • 25g Weetabix, crumbled
  • Salad, to serve
  • Dr Will's BBQ Sauce, to serve

Method:

In a bowl, combine the chicken, Mayonnaise, breadcrumbs and Weetabix and stir well to ensure the chicken is fully coated. Add a good grind of black pepper.

In a frying pan, heat 1 tbsp olive oil over a medium heat and add the chicken, cooking for around 10 minutes each side, ensuring the coating is golden brown.

Serve with a crisp, dressed salad and a big dollop of Dr Will's BBQ Sauce for dipping.

If frying isn’t your style, pop the goujons into a 180°C oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
